Camera and hands-free capture
The centred, brow-mounted camera provides a point-of-view perspective for recording photos and video while you are active. It features an expanded field of view and capture modes including slow motion and hyperlapse, giving you more options for recording and sharing moments without needing to hold a separate camera.
Image capture is 3024 × 4032 pixels, while video can be recorded at 720p at 120fps or 2203 × 2938 at 30fps.
Open-ear audio and Meta AI
The Oakley Meta Vanguard uses an open-ear audio system, allowing you to listen to audio without blocking out your surroundings. That can be useful during outdoor activity where maintaining awareness of what is happening around you matters.
The glasses use two custom-built open-ear speakers and a custom five-microphone array. Maximum volume is increased by 6dB compared with SN Max for action-use cases, while the updated port design is intended to improve leakage performance.
Meta AI provides voice-controlled assistance, with integrations with Garmin and Strava allowing athletes to access personalised health data and performance metrics during activity.
