Cushioning

The material that absorbs the impact against the ground. The more cushioning utilised, the softer a shoe will feel underfoot.

Normal sized Arches.
During push off there is an even distribution from the front of the foot.
The foot lands on the outside of the heel, then rolls inward to absorb the shock and support body weight.

Drop

The difference from the heel of the shoe to the forefoot.
