Kynx C5 Iso Navy Cricket Helmet
The Kynx C5 Iso Navy Cricket Helmet is a BS 7928:2013 + A1:2019 certified cricket helmet combining an adjustable fit with a carbon steel grill and multi-layer impact-management construction. Finished in Navy, it uses Kynx's ISOFIT micro-adjustment system alongside a high-density EPP liner, RIM system and engineered ventilation.
A single helmet shell accommodates head circumferences from 54–61 cm, allowing players to fine-tune the internal fit across a particularly broad size range.
Impact protection
An Impact Force Damper sits between the ISOFIT system and helmet shell interior. This lightweight viscoelastic component is designed to absorb impact energy while allowing the ISOFIT assembly to compress, move linearly or roll laterally, helping reduce vibration transferred through the shell towards the head.
The internal impact layer uses high-density Expanded Polypropylene (EPP). EPP is designed to absorb energy under repeated and variable impact loading before returning towards its original shape after compression.
Kynx's Radial Impact Mitigation (RIM) System further shapes the EPP into flexible, independent pods. These are designed to absorb and disperse forces generated by high-speed linear and lateral impacts.
Engineered airflow
The structure of the RIM system also contributes to the helmet's Engineered Ventilation System (EVS). Multiple pathways between the shell and EPP allow air to circulate through the helmet, helping manage heat build-up during batting, wicket keeping or fielding.
Kynx's patented ISOFIT micro-adjustment system adapts around the wearer's head and is designed to distribute helmet weight evenly. This helps maintain a balanced and centred position during play.
Carbon steel grill
The C5 Iso is fitted with a high-grade carbon steel grill for facial protection. Its fixed grill position provides a consistent faceguard setup without requiring adjustment by the wearer.
The helmet also uses a quick-release buckle, allowing the strap to be secured and released quickly.
Who is the Kynx C5 Iso Cricket Helmet best for?
The Kynx C5 Iso is best for cricketers wanting an adjustable cricket helmet with a carbon steel grill, extensive ventilation and a multi-layer approach to impact management.
The 54–61 cm ISOFIT adjustment range also makes it relevant for players who want greater control over the internal fit and stability of their helmet.
What should you consider before buying?
This version of the C5 Iso uses a carbon steel grill rather than titanium. Players specifically looking to reduce grill weight should compare it with the titanium-equipped C5 Iso Pro.
