Tecnifibre Carboflex Neo 130 Squash Racket
The Tecnifibre Carboflex Neo 130 Squash Racket is designed for good level competitive and regular squash players looking for power without giving up the fast racket preparation needed in tight areas of the court. At 130 g, it combines Tecnifibre's X-TOP NEO construction with HEART TECH and a 500 cm² head, making it the most powerful option in the Carboflex Neo range.
The 130 g weight gives the Carboflex Neo 130 greater inertia through the ball, which is why Tecnifibre positions it as the most powerful racket in the Carboflex range. It suits players who want a little more substance behind their shots while still benefiting from the manoeuvrability created by X-TOP NEO.
X-TOP NEO technology reduces plastic around the top of the string bed, including a 2 to 3 g reduction around the 12 o'clock position. Removing weight from the racket head helps improve manoeuvrability and allows the head to accelerate more freely through the swing.
Tecnifibre has also removed the conventional plastic bumper from the top of the frame. It is replaced by a combination of aramid fibres and a PTFE treatment, providing resistance to impact and abrasion while allowing the racket head to move more smoothly through the air.
Weight saved around the racket head is redistributed towards the centre through Tecnifibre's HEART TECH design. The shaft is 3% thicker with a more rounded shape, designed to increase power and improve the racket's responsiveness.
This combination is particularly relevant in squash, where players frequently need to generate useful racket speed with limited space for a full swing.
Tecnifibre uses Extended String Hole technology, with 12 enlarged eyelets positioned at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock. These allow greater string movement and elasticity, helping improve tolerance on off centre contact and supporting additional spin.
Who is the Carboflex Neo 130 best for?
The Carboflex Neo 130 is best for good level competitive and regular squash players who prioritise power while still needing fast racket manoeuvrability. Its 130 g weight provides additional inertia through the shot, while X-TOP NEO reduces unnecessary mass around the top of the frame to keep the racket quick through the swing.
What should you consider before buying?
At 130 g, the Carboflex Neo 130 is the more power focused option in the range. Players who prioritise maximum manoeuvrability over added weight behind the ball may prefer a lighter Carboflex model.
