Our range spans more than 150 trusted sports brands, carefully selected for their performance, durability and long-term value. If we wouldn't confidently recommend it, we won't stock it.

We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We're focused on doing specialist sports retail properly through expert advice, quality physical stores, an easy to use online experience and a genuine passion for helping New Zealanders enjoy sport.

That commitment extends beyond selling gear. Through initiatives like the Players Scholarships programme, our Behind The Gear podcast, and partnerships with clubs, schools and sporting organisations throughout New Zealand, we're proud to invest back into the communities that support us and help make sport more accessible for the next generation.

Brief History & Background

It all started in late 2012, from a small store in the heart of Newmarket, Auckland. Our goal was simple - deliver quality cricket gear to players across New Zealand. That’s where Players Cricket began.

From there, we grew. Month by month, sport by sport, we carefully expanded our offering to cover more of the codes Kiwis love. Players Netball, Players Rugby, Players Football, Players Rackets (Tennis, Badminton, Squash, Pickleball, Padel and Table Tennis), Players Hockey, Players Rugby League, Players Basketball and Players Running have since joined the lineup.

Today, we serve most major NZ sports through both our physical stores and website - supported by dedicated sub-brands like Players Fan Gear, Players Club & School and Players Outlet, all designed to make shopping easy for athletes, parents, teams and fans alike.
