Karaka Cricket Club

Karaka Cricket Club, founded in 1984, is located at the Karaka Sports Park on Blackbridge Road, not far from the Papakura exit on Auckland’s Southern Motorway.

The club caters to both junior and senior, male and female members, and has been awarded the Counties Manukau Cricket Association Club of the Year on numerous occasions.

The club has produced many age group and senior representatives for Counties Manukau, Northern Districts, and New Zealand. Notable alumni include Richard de Groen, Blair Pocock, and more recently, Corey Anderson. Perhaps the most distinguished product of the club is former All Black Captain, Kieran Read, who played at both junior and Senior Premier levels.
