New Balance DC 1000 Cricket Batting Gloves

The New Balance DC 1000 Cricket Batting Gloves are designed for cricketers looking for a combination of protection, comfort and freedom of movement at the crease. They combine graded PU finger rolls with additional protection and plastic inserts on the two lead fingers, while a sheep leather palm provides a natural contact point between your hands and the bat handle.

The DC 1000 uses graded PU finger rolls across the glove, with additional protection and plastic inserts on the two lead fingers. These reinforced areas add another layer of protection to parts of the hand that can be vulnerable when facing the ball.

The lead hand also receives side bar protection, extending coverage beyond the fingers and helping protect the side of the hand while batting.

High grade stretchable gussets allow the fingers to move more naturally as you grip and control the bat. Ventilation through the gusset construction also helps manage airflow around the fingers during longer periods at the crease or extended net sessions.

Who are the DC 1000 Batting Gloves best for?

The New Balance DC 1000 Batting Gloves are best for cricketers looking for protective batting gloves with a leather palm, reinforced lead fingers and flexible construction. The combination of graded PU finger rolls, plastic inserts, side bar protection and stretchable gussets balances protection with the movement required for batting.

Frequently asked questions

What protection do the New Balance DC 1000 batting gloves have?

The New Balance DC 1000 uses graded PU finger rolls with additional protection and plastic inserts on the two lead fingers. The lead hand also has side bar protection, giving batters reinforced coverage in areas where additional protection is useful.

How should I look after cricket batting gloves?

Allow batting gloves to dry naturally after training or matches rather than leaving damp gloves sealed inside your cricket bag. Regular drying helps manage moisture and odour and is particularly important for gloves with natural leather palms. Avoid storing them wet for extended periods.

What is the palm made from?

The New Balance DC 1000 has a sheep leather palm with Crosslink foam padding. The leather creates the contact surface between the gloves and cricket bat handle, while the foam underneath adds cushioning for greater comfort and protection.

Are the DC 1000 batting gloves ventilated?

Yes. The DC 1000 uses high grade stretchable and ventilated gussets between the protected sections of the glove. This construction supports finger movement while allowing additional airflow around the hands during batting.

Should I wear batting glove inners?

Batting glove inners are optional, but many cricketers use them to help manage sweat and keep the inside of their batting gloves cleaner. They create an extra layer between your hands and the glove and can be particularly useful during long innings, training sessions or hot conditions. The trade-off is a slightly fuller feel inside the glove.
