Gunn & Moore Diamond 808 Junior Cricket Bat
The Gunn & Moore Diamond 808 Junior Cricket Bat is a Grade 2 English willow cricket bat designed for established junior players who want a high-quality match bat with the balanced, all-round Diamond profile. Available in sizes 5, 6 and Harrow, the Diamond 808 combines a mid-swell position, F4.5 face profile and Powerarc bow to create a versatile shape for young batters developing a complete range of front and back-foot shots.
The mid-swell profile is central to the Diamond's all-round character. Rather than concentrating the main hitting area particularly high or low on the blade, the Diamond positions it through the middle. For a junior batter, this creates a versatile hitting zone that works well when getting forward to drive as well as playing cuts, pulls and other shots from the back foot.
The F4.5 Face Profile and Powerarc Bow complement the mid-swell shape, creating a bat designed around consistent power and shot control. This makes the Diamond particularly relevant to young players whose batting is progressing beyond basic technique and who are beginning to score confidently in different areas of the ground.
Who is the GM Diamond 808 Junior best for?
The GM Diamond 808 Junior is best for established junior club and school cricketers looking for a Grade 2 English willow match bat with a balanced profile for all-round stroke play.
Its mid-swell position particularly suits young batters who score from both front and back foot rather than favouring one specific hitting area. This makes it a versatile option as players progress into quicker bowling and more competitive cricket.
With sizes 5, 6 and Harrow available, the Diamond 808 covers developing juniors through to older players approaching the transition into senior cricket bats.

GM NOW!
-
“Knocked-in” by the Gunn & Moore bat makers in Nottingham. Raw linseed oil has been applied to reduce cracking and splitting by maintaining the moisture level of the blade, with a clear bat facing also applied to the face and edges to increase blade durability.
TOETEK ™
-
DriGuard applied to resist dampness and minimise toe swelling. A specially shaped resilient toe shield has also been fitted to toe of bat. This helps reduces toe damage and feathering that is often caused by tapping at the crease. We recommend avoiding tapping your bat at the crease, or only doing so softly.
