Gilbert Innovo Match Rugby Ball Reviews

Sorry team . This isn't it Do not buy this ball if you do any kicking. Gilbert completely ruined their flagship ball by forcing the new "Duo Valve" housing directly into the seam line.Because a flat, rigid plastic valve casing is glued inside a curved seam, it creates a permanent physical bulge that warps the ball. Because kickers rely on the seam for alignment, this flaw completely ruins the ball's performance:Ruins Drop Kicks & General Play: When you are trying to line up a drop kick or a tactical punt on the fly, you don't have time to inspect the ball with defense rushing in .on a drop kick, its almost a gamble. If your boot strikes that specific seam during play, it feels like kicking a brick, completely deadens the energy transfer, and causes instant misdirection.Won't Sit on the Tee: For place kicking, the physical bulge forces the ball to sit crooked, tilt, and wobble on a regulation tee. It destroys your alignment, muscle memory, and consistency. For over $300, a match ball must be perfectly symmetrical. This was engineered for TV data tracking, not for the players actually kicking it. Save your money and buy a Barbarian instead

I am really sorry guys we had a terrible experience with this ball. Do not buy this ball if you are a goal kicker. Gilbert completely ruined this flagship ball by forcing their new "Duo Valve" housing directly into the seam line.Because the flat, rigid plastic valve housing is glued right inside the curved seam, it creates a permanent physical bulge that warps the shape of the ball. Because you have to line the seam up with your target line, this flaw causes two massive issues:Won't sit on the tee: The physical bulge forces the ball to sit crooked, tilt, and wobble on a regulation kicking tee. It completely ruins your alignment and consistency.Kills the sweet spot: The hard plastic housing sits exactly where your boot makes impact. If you strike it, it feels like hitting a brick, deadens the ball's flight, and sends your kicks wide. For over $300, a match ball should be perfectly symmetrical. This is an engineering failure engineered for TV data tracking, not for the players kicking it. If you actually kick goals, save your money and buy a Barbarian instead. Also imagine while playing you catch it, then look down to make sure you don't hit hard plastic but while being rushed? It feels unfit for purpose which is a very bold statement indeed. Also lack of actual reviews online is scary team. The pros is it's got a great grip and feels weighty otherwise pretty gutted actually. I brought it for a game for it to not be preferred which was embarrassing also but that's on me. Rating it low
