Saluting Heroes: The One NZ Warriors 2024 ANZAC Round Jersey
In a powerful collaboration between The One NZ Warriors, Dynasty Sport, the NZ Defence Force, and artist Dave Burke, we are proud to unveil the One NZ Warriors 2024 ANZAC Round Jersey. More than just a piece of sportswear, this jersey stands as a symbol of gratitude and respect for the brave men and women who have served our country.
Dave Burke, a dedicated supporter of the club and a talent in jersey design, has poured his heart into this project. With a personal connection to ANZAC Day through his family's history of service, Burke encapsulates the spirit of remembrance and honor in every detail of the jersey.
Central to the design is the New Zealand Multi Terrain Pattern (NZMTP), the camouflage worn by the NZ Defence Force. Modified to reflect the club's colors, this pattern serves as a tribute to the current servicemen and women who defend our nation. The inclusion of the silver fern, reaching upward toward the light, symbolizes not only growth and hope but also the various campaigns of the NZDF.
The jersey pays homage to the dawn of a brighter day with rays of light behind the soldier, reminiscent of the dawn parades held on ANZAC Day. Poppies, a symbol of remembrance and hope, adorn the front, while the Ode To Remembrance is inscribed on the center stalk of the fern, a poignant reminder of wartime sacrifice.
Standing beneath the New Zealand flag, the soldier wears the iconic 'lemon squeezer' hat and uniform worn during the Gallipoli Campaign. The Manaia, symbolizing protection and guardianship, is nestled in the folds of the soldier's sleeve, while three crosses honour those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
On the back of the jersey, the maps and flags of both Australia and New Zealand serve as a tribute to the unique bond shared between the two countries. Inspired by vintage war posters, the design captures the essence of a bygone era while incorporating cutting-edge technology.
Constructed with Dynasty Sport's Ecotek fabric, made from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles, the jersey embodies a commitment to sustainability. Its set-in sleeve design with mesh paneling ensures comfort and breathability, while premium silicone badges of the New Zealand Warriors and NRL logos add a touch of quality.
