It's now been more than a year since we opened the doors to our Players Sports flagship at 1-7 Marewa Road, Greenlane, Auckland.
The store opened in April 2025 with a simple goal: create a genuine destination for Auckland sportspeople, bringing specialist ranges across multiple sports together under one roof.
We quietly passed our first anniversary earlier this year without stopping to celebrate.
With the store now transforming again as new-season cricket, tennis, running and other summer ranges arrive, we've decided it's time.
Extra 10% OFF Sale Prices at Greenlane
For Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 August 2026 only, we're taking an extra 10% OFF the already-reduced price of eligible New Season Sale products at Players Sports Greenlane.
That means the extra 10% is taken off the current sale price, not the original RRP. For example, if an item has been reduced from $100 to $80 for the New Season Sale, you'll pay $72 at Greenlane during the Celebration Weekend.
The additional discount is available in store at Greenlane only and applies to eligible products physically in stock at the store.
No supplier order-ins, store transfers or rainchecks are available for the additional Greenlane discount.
Exclusions: Standard promotional exclusions apply to the additional 10% Greenlane discount, including combos, bundles and packs, Everyday Low Price products, club and school promotional codes or discounts, racket stringing services, Cricket Bat Workshop services, and name and number personalisation.

August is an exciting time at Greenlane.
Fresh 2026/27 cricket bats and equipment are arriving, new tennis, padel and pickleball ranges are landing, and our rapidly expanding Players Running department continues to grow.
You'll also find the wider New Season Sale running throughout the store, with selected products reduced by up to 40% before the additional Greenlane weekend offer is applied to eligible products.

Purchase any cricket bat or tennis racket during the New Season Sale and you'll automatically go into the relevant draw.
After the sale, one cricket bat purchaser and one tennis racket purchaser will be randomly selected. Each winner will receive Players Sports store credit equal to the purchase price they paid for their bat or racket.
So if you're heading into Greenlane to get sorted for the new season, your new bat or racket could end up giving you its full purchase value back to spend at Players Sports.
