Launching 27 August, the new ASICS Menace 5 Voyager 2 Boot pays tribute to the influence and pride Pasifika athletes bring to rugby league, rugby union, and football across Aotearoa and Australia.

Designed in collaboration with Samoan artist Jarryd Saifoloi and top-level players, this second Voyager release – titled The Legacy – is built to perform at the highest level while carrying a cultural story that runs deeper than the game itself.

The design reflects the journey of time through three phases:

• Past – patterns and motifs drawn from Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, Maori, Cook Islands and wider Pacific heritage, symbolising ancestors, family, and strength.

• Present – inspired by the Maori Poutama stepped pattern, representing growth, shared knowledge, and achievements made together as a community.

• Future – white space on the toe leaves room for the stories yet to be written by the next generation of Pasifika athletes.

Made with the same ASICS build quality trusted by professionals, the Voyager boot balances cultural significance with on-field performance, giving players the comfort, grip, and durability needed in today’s fast-paced codes.
