Karaka Cricket Club

Karaka Cricket Club was founded in 1984 and is situated at the Karaka Community Events Centre at Karaka Sports Park on Blackbridge Road approximately 5 minutes from the Papakura exit on Auckland’s Southern Motorway.

The club caters for both junior and senior, male and female members and was consecutively awarded Counties Manukau Cricket Association Club Of The Year 2018 & 2019.

The Club has produced many age group and senior Counties Manukau, Northern Districts and New Zealand representatives, the most notable being Richard de Groen and Blair Pocock as well as current Blackcap Corey Anderson. Yet arguably, the most notable product of the club would be that of All Black Captain, Kieran Read, whom played at both junior and Senior Premier level.
